Following on from Gérard's role as Business Mentor at the Step-UP Calderdale Event in Yorkshire, Kate Woodcock who is a part of Young People's Enterprise Forum at Enterprising Yorkshire, was quick to thank Gérard for taking the time out of his diary to attend StepUP this week “Your contribution made the event possible and really was appreciated by all the 480 young people and the teachers who attended as well as everyone who contributed to bringing StepUP to Yorkshire".
She continued to say "The event was a great success and had a huge impact on all those who attended as I’m sure you could see, with some of the speakers in particular resonating strongly with the teachers and mentors as well as the young people. We will be following up with the schools that attended and encouraging them to build on the inspiration and motivation of their students.
The energy you expended and the support, understanding and compassion you showed to your groups contributed to a tangible shift in the whole room from the start on Tuesday morning to the end of the 2 day programme. Thank you again for all the time and effort you put in".

Lecturer in Sports Coaching at University of Hull Sport Health & Exercise Science Department
Gérard School of Football has agreed to allow BSc (Hons) Sports Coaching & Performance degree students the chance to access video footage of GSF Academy Players training sessions for the Introduction to Performance Analysis and Performance Analysis in Practice.
Gérard Jones says “It’s a fantastic opportunity for both myself and everyone involved at GSF as it will inevitably help to improve our understanding of performance analysis. It will also help people on my course at University to be able to access real footage which will go towards improving our learning to be able to successfully pass our assessments".
Dr Lee Nelson commented "This will help support not only Gérard's learning, but that of his colleagues and I thank Gérard for agreeing to allow the filming of coaching sessions within his football school"

Gérard School of Football has recently formed a partnership "in principle" with Lilleshall National Sports Centre to launch The Gérard School of Football Premier Academy, which will become the most unique concept to have hit British Football and is the brain-child of Gérard Jones.
The Gérard School of Football Premier Academy will cater for the ultimate student-athlete demands and will provide the unique and exceptional opportunity for all student-athletes to have the chance to incorporate life and academic education with intensive athletic-football performance and nutritional training, together with matches.
